I have '98 Tacoma, manual 4x4. Last year toyota fixed my frozen e-brake. Now when it is cold my e-brake light comes on. Once the truck is heated up, it comes on when I accelorate ang goes off when I stop accelorating. Any ideas?

That's weird. Check your brake fluid level, there's a sensor in the cap that turns on that light when fluid is low.

i have a oo w/ 3in ez ride lift and mine did that from time to time. for example turning corners ect.. but i noticed that when i put on the lift my e brake cables were just above my leaf springs. so when i would turn or what not the light would go on b/c the cable would rest on the leaf. i just bent up that bracket on the axel and it went away... Maybe this could be it

Maybe this could be it that's when mine would come on when cornering then I was doing a fluid change for the rear dif and desided it was an opertunity to make the braket longer but I never gave it any thought.

Add fluid, it should go off.
