Here's a good story for ya!

I went to College in NY state in the finger lake region. Dont know if anyone has heard of Watkins Glen, NY but it is like 4 wheeler country and it has some unbelievable trails. There were 4 of us, Two in Toys and two in full size chevys.

It had Just rained the past night so of course we were excited to get out on the trails. The terrain is known for its hills and alot of jumps so needless to say we were hitting them pretty hard. I was having trouble with my clutch engaging so I parked my Toy and jumped in with my buddy Aiden in his 4 Runner. We Came to the top of a very steep hill and were a little shakey on whether or not to attemp the jump on the bottom of the hill with it being wet and all. We sat there and finally we decided to do it. The jump at the bottom was over a creek 10 feet below the lip of the jump so we knew with enough speed we could clear it and land on the other side of the creek on the ledge which led out into another trail that openned up about 30 Feet. The only thing we didnt know is that on the other end of the trail there was a even bigger hill that we didnt see due to a lot of brush that lead down to a small pond or lake have you.

Well we roared down the hill at a good 45 mph and had no problem clearing the jump but when we landed we bounced probably 3-4 times. I thin coat of mud made it feel like we were on Ice. We slid a good 20 yards and then we saw it coming. At this point we had slowed down tremendasly. Aiden finally found the right gear and started to pull forward at a good rate but we were still sliding. We then continued down the hill rolled it 3 times before we hit the water.

Luckily we hit roof up at a slow enough speed where we were able to get out. The part that sucked was we had to stand there and watch his 95 4runner slowly sink all the way to the grill and the front bumper. Most importantly we werent hurt and all we can do now is laugh but if there was anything funny about it, it took two huge tractors with one more tractor pulling one of the tractors to get it out. ;D

This one might not be as adventurous, but funny, it diffidently was.

A few friends and I went on a wheeling trip on the Rubicon Trail in September of last year. When we got to Spider Lake we decided to stop for a break and lunch. There were a few other people there too, but most importantly was the little black Mazda 4x4 truck that was there. Three guys were sitting on the back of the tailgate just finishing their lunch as we were pulling up. About ten minutes after we parked and sat down to eat the three guys got off the tailgate. This, I guess, being all the vibration that the Mazda needed to roll. It didn’t have far to go before it went over the hillside into the lake. About a fifteen foot drop. I did run into the owner on another trip out there, and in his little black Mazda. He said that he came back out the next week and pulled it out (I don’t know how). That he just took the spark plugs out cranked the engine over and watched the water shoot out. Then he changed the oil and drove it out. He did do a little fine tuning with it when he got it home and he says he hasn’t had a problem with since.

There is a moral to this story:
Remember, ALWAYS, no matter how good your E-brake is, it will not do you any good if you don’t use it. ;D

This one is a little differnet. One of my buddies who is very creative decided to lift a lawn mower and wheelit a little. He lifted it about 20" . Yea it was really crazy well we went out wheeling I have a 1952 Wheel Horse With a 3 sp. and a tweaked 12 horse, v treads and chains. WHen we are not out with our trucks we are out playing around with the tractors . Mine will push some serious snow. Well He decided to try and crawl up this hill and it did not work out. The hill was about 6' tall and on about a 45 degree incline. He tipped over and it caught on fire . So we all scrambled over there and started kicking dirt on it and finally got the fire out. It was hillarious.

Man thats funny as hell- haha Me and my brother took an engine out of an old lawn mower( I believe it was about15 horse) and put it in a go-cart as well as the transmission and a different set of gears. I was great - needless to say It didnt last to long.. haha

So its winter in Colorado, about 10 degrees on this day and i was doin some snow wheelin when i came across a pond. It was iced over but I figured I could get a little muddin action if I hit the edge of it. Well, 31 inch AT's and 3 ft of water and mud dont mix. When I stopped I was in the middle of the pond with water up to the bottom of my door. I waded out of the water and my pants and shoes froze instantly. I didnt have any other vehicles with me so i ran a mile or so in frozen clothes until i had cellphone service called my father with his 75' ford-250 highboy to come pull me out. Our first attempt broke a 5000lb tow strap in half and it was beginning to get dark. With our last tow strap he finally yanked me out. The Toy sputtered for a while but was fine. Needless to say it was my first time wheeling and I have learned much since then.

Moral of the Story: Dont go wheeling alone and bring a tow chain (or high rated strap)!!!

No we didnt get any pics of it . I wished I would have it was great. He just got doen lifting another one. the steering wheel is about 6' tall . He has 33-12.50-15 dick cepeck tires on it. He has to extend the frame there is only about 8" in between the font tires and the rears. He's crazy and has too much time on his hands.

Not really an truck off road adventure but verry funny. Me, my two friends, and my cuz from Michagin where out ridding 4-wheelers one after noon. We were about 5mi from the house when we cam across a house size pile of what we thought at the time was dirt. We are looking at it and my cuz says " watch this, I'll lonch out the top of it" and takes off before we can stop her. As she gets half way up the mound we realize that it is not dirt. It's a masive pile of chickin poo that Buckey Egg Farms has cleaned out of one of there barns. By the time she got un-stuck and got off the mound she was covered in poo. That stuff really stinks.
