Do you think black rims would look good on a black 2002 Tacoma? I have 265 75 16 Nitto All Terran tires.

yeah, I've seen chrome rims painted black. It does look really sweet. Looks like I'll probably end up doing that.

I've got a red 2003 Tacoma with rattle-can black wheels. Looks nice. I've got my tires mounted white letter out which helps break-up the large black space. I bought a set of matte silver painted steel Taco wheels off a guy locally and painted those. If you want to paint a set, get the tires mounted first so as not to scratch the paint right off. Lay down plenty of thin coats of paint.

I painted my old stockers flat black out of boredom and had a can of clearcoat sitting on the shelf left over from painting my RC Crawler. So I used it as well and they turned out pretty danm good. I almost want to change out for my crawler rims but they're too narrow.

I painted factory alum whls in Rustoleum BBQ black for cast alum grilles. The paint is really tough, sticks to oem whls very well. I used brushes (1/8" for edges, 1" for filling in). The paint flows on and hides the brush marks. I left the raised bead edge and the center of the wheels silver. They look like AR Teflon-coated whls. Best part, it cost 4.99. I highly recommend BBQ black alum grille paint for these alloy wheels. It was easy to do and looks awsome.
