hey all, just signed up with the site after checking things out for a while, i've moved over from zr2usa and am looking at getting into a 05 tacoma quad cab long bed since my z was stolen a few weeks back and hasn't been recovered. i've looked into some mods and such so far but not sure exactly where i want to start..... gettin one is probably a good start lol, so far im looking at a volant intake, borla cat back exhaust, and a uni chip.....actually my very first mods would be a gps tracking system and a shotgun but i figure after thats taken care of i should be good. long term im lookin at a 6" pro comp and 3" body with 35" mudders and of course alot of other extras. havent seen too many mods for these trucks yet anyone know of any particular good mods? this is a link to my page for my old truck, feel free to check it out if you want. www.zr2usa.com/members.php?id=608 (R.I.P.)

Sorry for your loss BUT maybe it's the blessing in disguise ;D The '05 is a great truck and what you have in mind sounds good except for the uni-chip that would be something you do after internal engine mods or unless it has a SC. The chips are more for modified engines. For the money they really aren't worth it. There are better things you could do that will benefit you more. Like headers,high-flow cats.

ya, i was looking at getting the uni-chip after adding all the other goodies. from there i could throw on the lift and tires so hopefully i wouldn't loose much power. it was pretty noticable on my old rig after throwing on the 35's, there have been a few people around town that have actually seen the little bastard still driving it around this last weekend so im not sure whats going to happen. i just know he's going to get a whole hell full of pain
