Well i just bought a 95 tacoma with a camburg l/t kit in the front with deavers in the rear, the truck itself is in amazing shape but its got almost 215,000 miles on it, i've been playing around in the oregon dunes a little bit and im just running 33's but it noticably bogs down at lower speeds, even 1st gear just sucks, so most of the time im having to run around in 4low, because its also my daily driver i dont want to gear it any lower cause it works perfect for the city, so because of the high miles i dont want to drop too much money into the motor (still stock 3.4 lt V6) so i've been looking into swapping a 350 into it which i thought a lot of people did but now that im looking around i cant seem to find anyone whos done it or found any adapter kits for sale, so finally my question is it practical to swap in a 350 and are there any companies that sell kits to make it a little easier. Thanks

Advanced Adapters This swap is more common on the older gen rigs. There are a few who have installed the 350 into the taco. Try using our search tool if you haven't already or Google it.

I know you have 215k on the engine but why not find a good used supercharger for it? A 350 swap aint gonna be cheap. I've heard there are some lexus V8's that I wouldn't mind swapping in but honestly I haven't researched it enough to tell you more.

i know i could get more life out of my 3.4 but a supercharger would still be spendy as crap, i've looked around and i've found used 350 blocks for about what that would cost (and i'd get more power out of a 350 than a supercharged 3.4) so just spending the little bit more on the extra parts i think is worth it in the long run if im going to be rebuilding my other motor, despite the extra weight (which is my biggest worry considering my long travel front end) i really want to go ahead and swap it in

Other things to think about
1) Bigger engine, more power, more broken parts 2) the 3.4 is fuel injected, you going with carb? if you stay injected can be spendy. 3)Got any smog to worry about? 4)Doing a swap is never as "cheap" as you hope. Initial investment of a motor isnt bad, its everything else. Hand them the credit card and close your eyes, it hurts less.
Other than that, sounds like fun. When my dad and I got the 350 running in the FJ40 he didnt feel as bad about the money it took to get there.

im still lookin at the motor and some of the small shit im going to have to buy and i know it adds up, and i know the drivetrain is going to be crying with the power but i think as long as i didnt hammer on it i wouldnt brake too many things, but another one of my main reasons for doing this is i dont even think the trd supercharger works on the 95 and i cant find too many good performance parts to get some real power from, i've looked at those STS turbos which are pretty interesting but 4 grand just isnt appealling for 7 pounds of boost... if anyone else has some good performance ideas im definately all ears
