I flipped my tacoma about 2 years ago and the motor is in perfect condition. I was wondering if anyone has done this swap? I would like to know how hard it was to do? Will the 2.7L bolt up to the 85 yota 4x4 trans or will I have to use the tacoma trans and if I do will the transfer case be on the right side for the 85 4x4 yota axle?

Yes you can. You will need everything drivetrain related except for the t-case. Motor, trans ecu and wire harness. You will however will need an adapter from Marlin Crawler so you can mate the right drop t-case to the Tacoma tranny. You may need other parts as well but I'm not sure. Check out Marlins website Bigmike has done several of these swaps and has tons of info on it.

Yeah I read it. I would have to have someone do the swap. I need a book, engines for dumbies. I have never done anything internal on a motor just your usual maintance things.
