will the power steering idle valve from a 6 cylinder fit on the 2.7 4 banger. toyota calls it the "air control valve". the part number is 17630. it is on the hose that comes from the rack to the P/S pump. it has 2 vacuum hoses on it.

It may work. I looked through the schematics and they don't list one for the v-6 models but the schematics aren't always correct. They list 2 different ones but all the codes are for the 4cyl the only dif I see is the production dates.
part # 17630-15090 fits 1 of '98 thru 9 of 2000
part # 17630-70010 fits 1 of '95 thru 1 of '98

i do know the v6 does bc it went out on a truck of mine it was the same truck all i can tell you is that the dealer wants about 500 dollars for a new one
