i just bought a tacoma and it has the sloppy stick syndrome..I was wondering if the same teflon bushin that will repair this problem on the 84-88's will fit the 96 tacoma??
Is the tranny the same???

It's been a while since I've work on the new of a TOY, and I've never worked on a Taco, but I believe the trannys are the same. The newer ones are just made a to be stronger.

Yeah my shifter is pretty damn sloppy and I believe Marlin sells a replacement kit that is a little bit cheaper(money wise) than the dealers.

Thanks guys..I bought one from ebay that worked wonders for only 15.00 dollars for my 88, but Im bout to fix my Taco, and didnt know if the one for the 88 would work on the Taco..Tryin not to spend that 15.00 dollars if it dont work...Im on a budget since santa claus
