hello, i recently got a 99 taco 2.7 4x4 regular cab 5sp. i got the crazy rattle under the dash. its really pronounced at low rpm when the engine lugs causing more general vibration. when i press on the dash in the middle it goes away as long as my hand is still there! its not a big deal but it is annoying. is this a cheap and easy fix? or just something to deal with?
also what the best way to remove a factory radio? it appears that you need to remove the center of the dash/console but I'm not sure.
thanks

To remove the radio you first have to remove all of the knobs from the heater control ,temp setting and defroster setting then lightly pull on the face plate this will loosen the AC button to remove it. You will also remove the cig lighter ,ash tray and the lower center console this is done by taking a small screw driver and press in the center of the clips then you can disconnect the AUX points and the connector for the lighter. Then you should be able to get to the screws (3 or 4)that hold the bezel in place. You will be able to disconnect the air bag switch. You should have access to the radio brackets at this point. Cheack around you may find your rattle here as well.

Hey man i've got a 95 2.7 too and my dash was doin the same thing.. what mine turned out to be was the dash vibrating against the windshield. I just crammed a little pice of somethin in between the two and it solved a lot of punchin and bangin!
