I Have a 1995 Toy 4Runner, with new interesting problems, Why is the toy over heating out of no where, i put a new temp in still got the problem whats also weird is that the top of the radiator is hot like normal but the Bottom is cold as well as bottom hose, please i need help what should i do??

Is your engine the 3.0 or the 22RE? Is it cold were your at? Like maybe your coolant in the radiator is frozen ( I did this once :shootme: ). Maybe bad thermostat. Maybe a air pocket in your cooling system. Just a few thoughts

If the top of the rad is hot and the bottom is cold, then coolant isn't flowing thru. Rad could be clogged, water pump could be bad, t-stat could be stuck closed.

Ok Guys Guess What Just put a New Radiator in and its Still Cold on the Bottom & OverHeating........What Should i do next Replace the Water pump? Because I Already Replaced the T-stat. its a V6 3.0 Please i need Feed Back on this Issue,

and yea i Turned off the car Before it Over Heated But it was moving that direction which i know is a no no...

If you bought a new radiator you are left with only two options as far as i can see. Try taking the thermastat out and running it that way. If it still overheats it is a water pump issue. unless you have a blockage in the block somewhere. The blockage is highly unlikely. I would try the thermastat, for such a simple and possibly a very damaging part I have found that they fail more than one would think.

you also in the years we had prbs with the heads pitting....but try the taking out the stat and see what that does..someone asked if it was cold there....well is it hot? do you run the ac? with the bottom cold on a new rad...hmmm....not flowing waer...how long going down the road before it gets hot..??

i had a chrysler new yorker that had to have the t-stat replaced about every 5-6 months. they just kept failing. samt thig too, hot top tube and cold bottom tube.

One more thing guys..I had this problem as well and come to find out it was the darn heater coil plugged under the dash..It was a B*#CH to change out too..Ill never do it again.....
