I HAVE A 95 FOUR RUNNER WITH 3.0 V6 5 SPEED. I AM WANTING TO CONVERT THE FRONT TO A COIL OVER SUSPENSION TO RUN A MINIMUM OF 39 INCH TIRES. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND ANY TECH INFO ON DOING THIS? I HAVE SEEN A TACOMA DONE THIS WAY IN A MAGAZINE USING 8 INCH JEEP TJ COILS. IF POSSIBLE I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE SOME CLOSE UP PICTURES OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

i am goin to be running coilovers in the summer. all u need to a 3 link or a 4 link. i am goin with a 3 link cuz it is easer to fit. as far as axles u prolly wanna get some 60s or build a dana 44 if u wanna run 39s or larger. i am hopefully goin to be runnin the 39.5 iroks on my front dana 44. so another question do u want coils or coilovers,

WELL IM NOT SURE ,I'VE BEEN LOOKING AT BOTH AND IM NOT SURE WHICH WAY TO GO,COILOVERS WOULD PROBABLY BE BETTER BUT ARE KINDA EXPENSIVE, BUT IM SURE WELL WORTH IT.DO YOU KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE AIR SHOCKS I HAVENT REALLY HEARD OR SEEN A WHOLE LOT ABOUT THEM? WHEN YOU DO YOUR COIL CONVERSION IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE SOME PICTURES. IM ALSO LOOKING AT AN 88 RUNNER THAT A GUY BUILT 4 LINKS FRONT AND REAR AND HASNT FINISHED IT YET. WE'LL SEE IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO. I HAVE HEARD REALLY GOOD REMARKS ABOUT THE IROK TIRES.

air shocks are nice but i think the 4 runner weighs too much. when i tube teh rear of mine out i am goin to run the air shocks. coilovers are nice but they are$$ but they side sooooooooo nice. i say keep the coils in the rear with a long arm 3 link for the rear and coilovers and a 4 link for the front

Coils are nice yes but "90%" of the time, quoted from 4wheel and offroad, Leaf springs will give you all the flex you need. and are a whole lot cheaper.

Its a lot of work! A lot of time! AND $....but anything is doable!! I have been looking for the same sorta setup! I found a tacoma online that pretty much gives you an idea of what needs to be done. www.angelfire.com/extreme2/AKTTORA/Webpages/SAS.html I dont know if it helps you out any, but i will keep my eye out and post anything else i find! GOOD LUCK

JUST BOUGHT A 87 RUNNER WITH FRONT AND REAR 4 LINK COILOVER. STILL NEEDS SOME WORK TO FINISH IT BUT IT SHOULD BE A KICK ASS RIDE WHEN I GET DONE.WE PUT FLOOR JACKS UNDER THE WHEELS JUST PLAYING AROUND AND THIS THING FLEXES VERY WELL WITH NO PROBLEM AT ALL WILL TRY TO POST SOME PICKS WHEN I GET DONE.
