Looking to get a tow hitch '96 4runner

I have a '96 4runner 2 wheel drive, 3.4L v6 with 215k miles so I will not be doing anything drastic to it. I dont really have any clue on what I should be looking for. I will be pulling a waverunner and similar trailers. If you could give me some idea on what I need that would be great. Thanks.

i just went to my local dealer and bought my hitch for my 99 4runner. you could just shop around locally and try to find the lowest price. as for the wiring for the trailer walmart sells the kit that just plugs in to the tail light plugs. the wiring kit cost about $30.00. just my $.02
