My 1994 single cab 4/4 manual, is making to many noises to count! I am kinda a perfectionist and don't want any more expensive suprises. It has a new 2.4l with comp RV cam and valves/HIten springs. (or so I have been told). The moter has 28k on it. the noises are mostly drive train and suspension. I am looking for an expert Toyota pickup enthusist. I need him or her to help me Pinpoint these noises. I live in HBG and will drive up to 60 miles. I will pay $20pr hr...and just expect to diagnose; I can handle repair. I can only judge ur ability through Sucessfull posts, and length this site member ship karma etc. Thank you DG

Nice to see how precise and thorough you are...... But fill us in on this one.....
Where or what the hell is "HBG"
PS: Std rate at any garage,at least in Central New York State is $65/Hour....
Not saying someone can't or won't help you, but from the sounds of your post, noone is going to come running.
How about picking one area of concern and asking? Like the nasty squeak you get at low speed full turn in forward or reverse from the front end? Or the rear leaf spring bushing squeaks and growls you get?
We have a good idea already as to what you are dealing with, but without spending hours diagnosing (while taking apart), there are no easy total answers someone in person can give you that we couldn't give you through threads.
PPS: Don't go by the "karma" ratings. A person who doesn't like someone can easily go in daily and lower their numbers. There is also no guarantee you get added to if someone likes what you've said. "Karma" was a feature of the latest site upgrade, not an anticipated request or tool.

I am located in Harrisburg PA....and Don't expect anyone to have interest in the job unless they live in Central PA. Which is why I listed location as HBG. I wish to hire someone with 89-94 toyota pickup exp. As they would have experienced some of these probs before. Specific problem list below Drive train noises- Ringing, when clutch engaged at 4000 rpm. , Flutter sound through (drive train) on decel between 50-20mph. , Hard shift selection. And loud noise from rear which sounds like tire noise. Suspension: turn hard right or hard left, creaking and clunk. But only when the frame twists not on level pavement. Engine: loud valve train sounds like a diesel. ( I already adjusted and readjusted and had dealer adjust valves) Slow rpm decel between 3k-1k. New motor seem to burn 1qt between oil changes. And register to high within first 100 miles and than registers 1/4 qt low after.
I hope this gives a better desciption, I wish I could fix these thing with out trial and error.
thanks for any applicable advice, DG
