There are going to be several events on New Years Day or New Years weekend. Here are the ones I know about.
Summertown TN New Years day, there will be many off roaders from many clubs out. Summertown is south of Nashville TN on I-65. You can get more info at www.wheelininthecountry.com There are going to be lots of toyotas and other out there. I am trying to go to this run myself but I am still undecided.
Windrock/ Coal Creek Jan 2-4. This is near Oak Ridge TN off I-40. There will be a tacoma club meeting up with a Nissan club for a great trail ride. These guys are a lot of fun and are a great group to go with if you have never wheeled before. You can get more info at www.coalcreekohv.com
I've also heard of some rides in McMinnville, TN. Here is a post from a off-road club I found on that one...
Cumberland off road will have our monthly trailride in McMinnville, TN on new years day.
the trail is located on the side of HWY8 in Warren County. the trail will be a medium trail with some pretty rough spots that can be by passed. a stock rig could make this ride but needs to have tow hooks. we had about twenty rigs last year and it took all day. we will meet in sparta at the Mcdonald's at 9:00am central time. for more details call 931-808-2278 or 931-738-7496. hope to see you there.
