Well, my rear bearing seal was leaking this morning so I took a personal day away from work to work on the truck. After replacing the axle seal I got a wild hair and decided to paint the grey grill on my truck primer black. So basically every last thing on my truck is black...not very original but works... Here is the pic I like it a lot better. Maybe the truck will go faster now. LOL

It looks fast! Hey, is your truck technically street legal where you are? Here in PA, the wheels may not extend beyond the fenders - hence all the fender flares around here. Did I just say "hence"?

Legal...law don't go round here... Well I do know that the bumper height has to be around 26". I'm breaking that one. Not sure about the fender flares. Hence I am probably breaking that one too. Most the cops around here have seen my truck and don't seem to care. Did I mention I also don't have mud flaps...I guess eventually I will need to figure something out before they throw the book at me.

Looks good Snorkle. So does it go any faster now? ;D Legal...law don't go round here... I have the same problem here in Cali too. Except for the height is 27" and to the bottom of the frame. Mines sitting at 29.5" and I'm still thinking of lifting it more. Mounting the back end of the front leaf springs so they are mounted under the frame instead of through it. Fender flares are suspose to be out at least as far out as the tires. I'm missing that one buy about 1.5". The mud flaps I did have a cop pull me over last year for not having any. When I finally got new ones and took my truck to the Highway P-trol to have the ticket signed off they said that the bottom of them have to be down to at least the middle of the axle. They didn't quite make in by about 2", but they signed it anyways. I also had a cop pull me over last week about my truck. This being how I found out about the heights limit. He also metioned that I needed mud flaps in the front too, but no one else ever mentioned it. He was nice though and just gave me a warning. Not many of the cop around here are too worried about those kind of things as long as it's close and not dangerous, but we do still have them there jerks too.

Nice looking grill!!! I remember reading a past article of all the state lifting laws so i thought id post them, but i think they might be a little out dated the article is from Dec.2000. Oh id post the scanned pics here but they were way to big and could get them resized so i just added them to my cardomain site. Heres the link www.cardomain.com/memberpage/221437/16

i tried to find state lift laws some time ago, and all i found was crap. Very incomplete, and let's say, less than reliable. I wanted to post the lift laws for each state, but i don't have the resources to call all the states and get the info. Actual documentation would be handy, but hard to get without paying.

My wife looked at the truck and said...what grill? lol She thinks most cars look the same anyway. Ahh well I love her. I'd have to paint the truck a totally different color before she would notice. ;D WildRIco - Where in TN are ya? My wife is from Cali and i hear about all the difficulties you go through out there. It is a beautiful place to live so I guess you have to trade off somewhere Well my truck is no faster. CRAP... Maybe if I paint some flames on the side...hmm...primer black flames (ghost flames) oh yeah.

Madisonville, Little town south of Knoxville, about 20 min drive from Tellico Plains, which of course is where the Tellico ORV area is. I see people driving rail buggys on the road with out so much as a backward glance from passing cops. ;D

You might be able to get some of the bedliner paint in blue and do the rock rails in that. You could even do the front grill that way. Might be cool. Otherwise the blue on blue could be good. Didn't you already paint your rock rails blue? i thought i remember seeing them blue in some of your pics.

Has anyone ever heard of Barneys' 4X4 in Indiana? He is a nation wide guru on 4X4's People from all over the us come to have him work his magic on their rigs. He builds a lot of stadium trucks, mud runners, rock crawlers etc. Anyway he has a older ford f-250 thats a mud truck and he had it rhino lined. Inside the cab and out, underneath, virtually the whole truck. It looks pretty cool besids its a ford. I would do it if I had the money. The cops dont realy mess with us here in indiana. There are trucks runnin around with 44's all over. I know the stock bumper height is like 18" or something. Yea right, what bumper hieght right!!!! My rear is 27" and my front is 30". My truck is flat black with bright red accents. Its soon to be camo though.

I have a friend with the entire truck painted in the rhino lining stuff. He did it himself. The only problem is he used orange. Now orange isn't too bad a color, but here in TN if it is orange, it is UT (University of TN) Orange. We call his truck Orange Blossom Special. He gets pissed but gets over it.
