Now, I am all for constructive criticism. I can take people who don't agree with me. But you sir, are just an ass. Why make a statement like that and not give at least 1 reason to support your opinion? Plan out your thoughts before posting next time. Let's go over the reasons why we should not/can not get rid of proboards... 1. Over 2000 registered users. 2. Almost 2 years of technical and personal experience that can not be taken with us. 3. The vast amount of time that I have put in making this a fun and helpful place for guys like you to enjoy. 4. It's a lot of work that I don't have time for. And, since I really don't have anyone else that can code javascript, asp, and html, it's all on me. Now, let's hear your brilliant plan to make the TOR message boards better.

I dont know what everyone is complaining about Mike. I love the board, and all of the new features it has. I think the Karma thing is kinda cool tool. Anyway, keep up the good work.
Oh Mike, it has been a little since i have used html, but if you need i will help out where i can. I can brush up also. I miss using it, but after making a few websites for myself that i actually never put on the net, i got bored and havent used it in a while. It would be fun to help out in TOR where i can.
If you got it covered, then thats great! Just thought i would let ya know.

Sorry to upset you Mike, and I understand what it is like not to have any help, but I think that the karma thing is pretty dumb, I can't see half the pictures on the board, some of the links don't work, I miss sylvester, I don't like how it tells so much of a persons info below their name, I didn't enjoy missing out a few days of reading messages from my favorite website in the whole world, and I already forgot that activate account # I just hope i won't need it anymore, I guess I can get used to the changes, but Im just syaing I liked it better before the swap

I guess I don't see what the big deal is. I love TOR, but you have to understand that TOR is not what the profiles say, or what the karma thing is, it's the people who communicate with one another and the information that gets shared. I think the changes are okay, but most importantly, I don't think Mike Kelly had any choice....a free message board upgraded itself....they probably didn't ask anyone if they wanted to or not. So don't complain to Mike Kelly, he's been really cool for doing all of this...complain to Proboard if you still really want to.
I have more important things to worry about other than what someone's profile says or how the links look. I'm only writing this because I've heard one too many people complain about the new changes on TOR. Get a grip, guys, it's all free. Keep up the good work Mike, and thank you.

i agree. personally, i really like the new board. i like being able to look in the parts section and when i see an item i might want, be able to tell right then and there where the guy is, without having to ask, and wait for a reply, etc... i also like the 'bookmark thread' option. makes it easy to find a thread that you wanna save for later, or wanna keep an eye on, or whatever. fact is, i haven't had any trouble with the upgrade. and the whole thing with re-activating your account... i just opened up a new browser window, went to my email, copy/pasted the code, and was good. no drama, no problems. and about the few days of missing messages, everyone else was too, so nobody missed anything while it was down, cause there were ne new posts being made. some websites go offline every night for updates, it's the way the world wide web works. one more thing, the avatar, go find a picture on the internet you like, host it at imagestation, and link it to your avatar. easy, and it won't dissapear. unless, that is, imagestation updates and then we'll all be in big trouble... just kididing ;D
guess what i'm trying to say is, everybody doesn't like something, and awesome job Mike, and everybody else who makes this thing tick. hats off to you guys. i know i won't be leaving

Well thanks all. Forgotten, you're not an ass, but come on man, at least be constructive. Take a minute to look at your profile. You don't have to enter a location, and you don't have to disclose if you are male or female. You don't have to show your age, or your email address. You have more options now then you did before. Pictures you can't see on the board aren't because of this site or the board, it is because of bad links. Chances are if you can't see them, no one can. Complain to the guy who put up the image with a bad URL. You don't have to participate in Karma, it's just a silly thing for people to do while they are here. It enhances the experience by making it a little more fun for ALMOST everyone. As for sylvester, I'm quite sure that you could find another pic of sylvester by doing a Google image search... in fact, here: www.vegalleries.com/wbopc/40syl.jpg go grab that one and host it up at imagestation. And finally, no, you should not need the activation code again. If you forget your password, you can request another one. But, if you were concerned about needing it, why delete the email? I guess my point is just what the others have said: It's just not that bad.
