Is there anyway to increase bandwidth or whatever is needed to allow more users to access this site at one time. It seems like 4-5 times a day I get an error saying that there are too many connections to the site and I have to wait to get on. Just a thought....

No, sadly not. From what I understand there are over 600,000 proboards forums and somewhere around 30-35 servers. When the bandwidth reaches a certain point they stop allowing connections to ensure that the boards are hosted in a speedy manner - that is, no lag.
It is especially hard because ProBoards is a free service - so it is even harder to provide more bandwidth.
It's a problem we have to deal with since we are becoming so popular! ;D
