Mike, i am sure you have thought of it but i would like to bring it up. I was thinking that it would might be good to put up an Electrical Componets, 4cyl tech, 6cyl tech, 8cyl(swap) Forum on the board. I think that it would help people more, because if you have an 83 pickup and you post an electrical problem in the '85 & Earlier Trucks & 4Runners forum, i think you are limited to mostly 85 and earlier owners. I dont think the guys with the Taco's or the newer trucks (just and example) dont venture into the pre 85 board too often. If it was a general electrical question, someone who has a taco, or late model runner might have the answer. I think it would help people out all around so they are not stuck asking electrical (and other) questions just in their year range forum. What do you think? If i made no since, then just ignore me, im a little

Makes sence and I'll give it some thought. I am toying (excuse the pun) with the idea of re-arranging some of the boards and collapsing them into a board/sub-board type of setup.
The best example of this would be the Parts Bin. It would look something like this:
Parts Bin -Want Ads
-For Sale --Engine Parts --Suspension --Wheels Tires --Whole Trucks --etc...
You see where I am going. It'll get some of the clutter off of the main page.
What do you guys think?

I kind a like the idea, but there are enough forums already to add more.
Maybe combine the pre 85 and post 85 forums into one pre-Taco forum, since they're basically the same (except the IFS/SAS difference). And the Taco and 95 up 4Runner into one forum since they're basically the same also.
something like:
79-94 Trucks and 4Runners (pre-taco) 95+ trucks and 4Runners T100 and Tundra LC
Then a non- vehicle specific Tech forum per Germ's idea.
just a thought

just throwin my 2 cents in here..... i like the idea, but the fewer times i have to click to get to the information i'm after, the better. i have cable internet, but i can imagine what it must be like having to see 4 or 5 different pages on dial up speed before you can read the new reply to your question, or see a new post at all for that matter. guess what i'm sayin, FWIW, is that i don't really mind having so much on the opening page, since it's really easy to navigate and find what i'm after

I dig what you guys are saying. Fourwd1, I am not sure that I can combine the boards easily. We'd have to do it thread by thread (which I am not against). What do the rest of you think?
DrumBum, a new feature of this board is bookmarks. You can bookmark a thread and then get directly to it from your bookmarks. I think they are in your profile. Just a thought. But, I do see your point about loading page after page. Could take a while.

Mike, i think the collapsing idea is great. Right now i have dail up and its really not that big of a deal to wait 30 more seconds to get the info you need, if you really need it. Food for thought

There's also, at the bottom of the main page, a link to see the last 10 posts. I can up that number if need-be. Maybe that would help.

I think that you could even combine the T100 and Tundra columns to the 95 and up trucks and 4Runners, and maybe even it could look like this 95 and Under Pre Tacoma Trucks and 4Runners -Solid Axle Trucks and 4Runners -IFS Trucks and 4Runners 95.5 and Up Trucks and 4Runners -Tacoma and 4Runners -T100 and/or Tundra -Tundra Land Cruiser and if you wanted to be really trick you could have it like when you clicked on like the 95 and under trucks you could have the subcatagories come down ;D just an idea
