;D And Why!? I would love some real world reviews!! The terrain around here is very mixed up depending on the weather. I don't see any reason to go 12.5. these are the only choices. Thoughts?? Opinions?? Later...

I've run both the BFG AT and MT. Obviously, you'll get more highway miles and treadlife from the AT"s, but they don't clean well enough for me in the mud and deep snow. BFG MT's are a very good all around choice. Always worked well for me in the dirt, snow, and the goo. Not as noisy on the highway as other mudders I've had either. Can't speak for the swampers, haven't tried a set of those yet.

I would choose the BFG MT's. The AT's don't clean well enough in mud and don't offer the traction I need. I wouldn't run the swampers unless your gonna use this truck off road a majority of the time and don't mind the on-road driving. The only way to balance the swampers is with golf balls or ive even heard BB's. However, they look really mean on a truck. ;D

Yup, I've owned 32x11.5 MT's and they were a decent lasting mudder. The swampers are definately no good on slick pavement... I am currently on 33x12.5 AT's and they are good, but not as efficient in deep stuff as MT's.

;D Well, for better or worse, there's a set of 33x10.5 BFG M/T's sitting in the shop waiting to go on the truck. I'm impressed so far. Look like a fairly stout tire. I'll let you know how the install/road test goes. Later...

;D Put 'em on yesterday & here's my 1st impressions. Easy to balance. Most weight was 3.5ozs. Which, for a tire this size, is damn good IMO. Tread noise is minimal, for now. Rained hard & I have no complaints about the handling in the rain. So far, after 200 miles, I'm very pleased. Thanks to all!! And now a pic...or 2 ;D Later...

They are actually an ice rated tire so I'm sure you'll find they track great in the rain for the first while until the ultra soft outer tread compound wears down. My second season on the BFG's they were'nt nearly as good in the wet, but still better then the crappy tires that came with the truck.

;D You shouldv'e seen my old lady's eyes when the front end of the truck dropped a foot or better(light side, she'll read this) before I nailed it & pulled right out of a nasty little hole. I'm still wondering how someone would put tree branches thru the sidewalls?!?!?! Every time I go out, it's in the forest. Can anyone explain? Later...

I've heard of them cutting on rocks. Some guys claim to have cut incredible amounts of BFG's on rocks. Personally I bought my BFG's when I cut the side wall of one of the crappy cooper tires that was on it when I bought it. Drove them through all kinds of rocks and trees. I literally plowed a path through the bush on my mom's land. Never had a problem with them.
