hey i'm going to get some new 35"s and a set of rims. I abuse mine to the brink on the cement (daily driver), on the dirt, rocks, sand and MUDD. daily driving and Muding are my primary uses. I'm thinking about Micky Thompson Clasic II (10x8?) rims. What tire should i run?
Mickey Thompson Desert Claws Pro Comp MUd terrains BFG Mud T\A KM's All-Terrain T/A KO's
How many miles can i get?

desert claws will wear the fastest, pro comp muds and bfg's are both damn close. the bfg has the 3 ply sidewall and the looks over the pro comp, id go with it.

There is a tire that just came out that few people know about. It is the Dayton Timberline M/T(Bridgestone). It is very similar in design to a goodyear mtr. It has an agressive sidewall tread similar to most of the popular tires on the market. It hooks up about like a bfg m/t and it rides nice and quiet on the highway. It also has provisions for adding #17 ice studs. They were on backorder through most suppliers a couple months ago but should be in good supply by now. It is a nice computer designed radial for a bias ply price www.bridgestonetire.com/dpp/

But the largest it comes in is 33". I had some Dayton MTs years ago and they worked good and lasted long.
Another choice is Mud King brand by BFG. They also work and wear well, aren't too noisey, and are cheaper than the BFGs.
Of the ones on your list, the Claws would work best but may not last the longest. If you want a serious mud tire, there's also Boggers amd Ground Hawgs.

IF your primary off roading is mudding, I would go with swampers. Normal M/T's suck in mud. My MTR's are not much better then an all terrain in the mud.

what is the bolt patern on an 84-85 6 bolt? ive only got $1380 left. i found a deal for my exact combo for $1382 35" SSR Super Swampers on A/E 589 rims. 35/12.50R15 15x10" 5 or 6 lug w/3.75" backspacing.
heres the breakdown: $2100 for a stock truck 170,000 miles or less $720 for 7.5" of lift. $1382 for rims and tires?
that leaves me at -2.99$ over buget... I was planing on building this truck for $4200 on a bet... and i still got shipping to pay for. the cash is not the problem, but a low cost truck is what i am going for for my article. i guess i could put a 3" body lift and wait while running the stock rims... hmm.... later
a few mandatory items still remain- registration, 5.29 gears, and z roll cage, the rest are lugsury items.
SO please look out for a cheap stock 1985 toyota with low mialege, finder fee is ok. If you find one for $2100 or below, wit hlow rust. email me fast!
