Instead of goin with 32x11.50's and losin power, and instead of 31's, I saw BFGoodrich makes a 31x12.50. Anyone run these? Could I mount them on my 8inch rim?

I've never run those tires before, so I don't know much about them. But, I do know that you could fit the tire on a 15x8 wheel, I have 33x12.50's on my 15x8 wheels

I heard when they came out with that size that thier target market was to sell to owners of stock Wranglers and Toys. Anybody know? I thought about running them in our local mud bog so I could stay in the 31 inch class. IFS will spank those old heavy straight axle trucks in the 31 inch class. ;D

Hey Colotoyboy, Did you ever get those 31x12.5's for your Taco? I was thinking of doing the samething for my '03 Taco. If you (or anyone else) have that size tire...how do they look and how do they ride?

I am looking into buying tires as well. I am going to put on a three inch body lift, but i don't know what size tires to buy. My choices are bfg/mt 31x10.5 or bfg/mt 32x11.5 and i can't find bfg/mt 31x12.5. all tires are for a 15x8 rim. Which tire do you recommend and why? Price is not an issue, but large decrease in power is an issue. Thanks for your help.

It all depends on what engine you have. If you're worried about power loss and you have a 4 banger, I'd stick with the 31x10.5. If you have the V6, I'd go with the 32x11.5. Personally I wanted to go with the 32's, but I am more worried about the effects to my speedometer, odometer, and ABS.
You won't find 31x12.5's in too many catalogs. You have to either call the catalog's 800 number or go to a local tire store. The metric equivalent is 325/60R15. This might help you find the tire.

I havent gotten the 31x12.50 yet, but i still am considering it too, i have the 4 banger and dont want to lose power and regear with 32's. I have seem them new on ebay, so im sure you could order them from discount tire, let me know what you find.
