Its time for me to buy some kicks for the rig. Ive been planning on going with a set of BFG Mud Terrain but I just found some Dunlop Mud Rovers. The Dunlop's are much cheaper I kinda want to go with them (poor college kid budget). Is there a huge quality difference in these tires?

I have had great luck with the allterrains from bfg. My buddy raves constantly about his bfg mud terrain tires. I think you will get a lot more millage out of the bfg's. Depending on your driving conditions some people who drive primarily on the highway can get over 60,000 miles on the allterrains. My buddy had around 50000 miles on his mud terrains with a third of the tread left. I think in your case you will get what you pay for.

My 4runner had dunlops on it when I bought it. I hated them. Poor traction on and off road and I even punctured the sidewall on one. Changed to the BFG AT's and was amazed that they were not only better off road, they were much better on road as well. I did'nt really find the BFG to last better then any other tire. They are ice rated which means the first layer of tread is extremely plyable rubber, which wear quickly. This is extremely thin though so it does not adversely effect tire life greatly. I did find that my second winter with them they had lost a lot of grip on ice, but were certainly not as bad as the dunlops I bought it with.
