Thinkin of pickin up some new shoes for the Pup. I was lookin at the 33x12.5R15 Pro Comp Mud Terrains. They're goin for 143 a pop from 4wheelparts.com. How are these, as far as road comfort/noise, tread wear (life), wet/snow/ice traction? Also, how do these compare to the Bridgestone Dueler M/T's and BFG M/T in those respects?

Pro comps have'nt gotten the best reviews. I personally love my MTR's. and you could likely pick them up at Wallmart for cheaper then the Pro comps. BFG's are great tires too.

You can get BFG MTR's at Walmart? Yeah, special order, and you have to know the SKU # to get the correct price. If they look it up in their books the SKU # it gives them will be in the $500 range. Another decent M/T are Mud Kings, made by BFG, but a lot cheaper. I know people that swear by the Pro Comps too.

That's what I was looking for, but I couldn't find it.
That's not the normal WM price though, that's a case where WM matched and beat another stores price. The normal WM price, for that correct SKU#, is in the $200 something range.
People have tried using that receipt to get other WM's to match it. It seems that a lot of the WM stores won't match that price though, it's hit and miss.

Hmm, yeah, I just checked Walmart.com and the 33x12.5R15 Goodyear MT/R's are $164.57 each.

if i could make an odd suggestion, check your local sams club and see if they can order Uniroyal Laredo M/T's in a 33x12.50, i have these and i LOVE them, they perform much better than my friends procomps he has on his XJ, personally i think they outperform the BFG M/T, i know they outperform buckshots too, this is speakin in the mud and general trail use, never done any rock crawling yet. i love them, ive got plenty of tread left after 24,500 miles , plus i got them for $112 a peice with road hazard at Sams club, but now our location says they can special order them anymore, so i dont know if its nationwide or just our location.
