I just purchased a 4 inch superlift and was wondering what type of 33" tires will do best for what I need. I use my truck as a dailey driver. It sees offroad use 2-3 times a week. I live in Washington state and see mud snow and not a whole lot of rocks. I was wondering what type of tire is gonna offer the best for my conditions and still have good wear. I was thinking of getting the MT/R's but am open to anything.

I have MTR's and they kind of suck in the mud. The only real mud tire is a swamper. Unfortunately the swampers wear poorly and don't offer a very nice steet ride. The MTR's really shine in the rocks because of their soft tread compound, but other then that they are a glorified AT. Because of the softer compound they wear quickly as well. Whatever you end up getting will be a comprimise one way or the other. Decide what is more important and what you would rather sacrifice, daily ride quality or real world traction.

If you want to keep it more daily driver friendly, I would recommend the BFG MT KA. These mud terrain tires offer a more aggressive sidewall than the the previous model. They are good in rocks, mud, and snow. I think they are a good all round tire and I got some good miles out of mine. Just keep the tire pressure right and rotate them frequently. The Goodyear MTR's are a good tire and I have seen them perform really well on rocks but haven't seen them do very well in slick mud.

I agree with the bfg mts good in snow mud and pretty quiet, but still last for a deciently long time.

;D I've had my BFG MT KO's for a few miles now & am pretty happy w/them. With a locker & 2wd, they throw stuff a ways. Wear is good. Sound's like they're getting louder though. Later...

I have the swamper ssr's they have been excellent in the conditions you mentioned and as for wear as long as you keep an eye on the air pressure and rotate them reg I have over 35,000 miles on them so far and looks like I'll get another 15 to 20,000 more
