ive got a set of 285/75/16 x terrains on my tacoma what is a general idea of air pressure do i need to run with these tires.There equivlent to a 33" tire

Go to a empty parking lot have your tires set at a high pressure get some chalk and put a stripe across the tread and drive a straight line look at the pattern then let a little out and do it again and again until you get a even pattern of chalk on the pavement

i recom 32-35 psi thats what we put in at work keep an eye on how there tread wear is and adust to fix to much wears the center to little wears the inside and out side keep in mind most 285/75/16 are 8ply rating so they are a little stiffer so the psi can be less

Myself and 4xfred had the exact same tires brand and size and we ran dif pressures his liked 27 psi and mine were at 30 psi both sets were done using the chalk/pavement method

Experiment with different pressures and find out what gives you the best ride and best gas mileage and then make a decision between both.
