Okay, Im just wondering what your guy's opinions are about tires. Im running a Stock 88' 4runner at the moment, Before i go to bigger tires im going to put on a 2' body lift, I was just wondering what everyone thought about the size of tires I should run before i go out and buy my tires... i have narrowed it down to either a 33/12.5 or a 32/11.5...

33 x12.5 will look much better... you'll regret it if you dont

David1987 is right. You might wish that you went with the 33's later. If you go with 33's with a 2 inch lift kit, just watch out for rubbing, either against the fenders , or in my case, the mudflaps. I went with a 3 inch BL with 33x12.5 Pro Comp AT's, and couldn't be happier.

i dont think one inch is going to make a difference in axle wear... toy axles are strong... i abuse the hell out of my truck and the front ifs holds up to 33's...

I went through 3 cv axles on my IFS with my 94 p/u. I now have a strait axle conversion going in right now. I was tired of those things breaking. I also ran 33" tires. When the truck wasn't broken, it went every where and i could image wanting to put a 32" tire on my truck.

I see the appeal of big beefy tires, but i dont want the tires to cause me more problems than they solve :S and does anyone have any insight on wheel spacers? ive asked before and noone seems to have a response.

i wheel my junk extremely hard and have only had one axle to break... the boot was gone when i bought the truck and i new it was going to go out... i keep hearing people say they break axles with 31" tires... i dont do mud and maybe thats the difference (come to think of it, thats when i broke the axle) hmm!!! ... i hate mud!!!
wheel spacers will wear out your wheel bearings quicker...

Although I've heard of it happening here on TOR, I've never seen toyota axels break without a good reason. I guess 31 inch tires could break axels, but then again, with enough abuse, anything can start to break... I think it all comes down to where you're wheeling and how hard you're pushing.
