I am thinking about doing a 3in bodylift on my toy t100 and i would run 33in tires if i did so. My question is if i was to use the stock rims(15x6) can i run 33 bfg all terrians and will they be the same size of actual contact surface if i was to run the same sized tires on a 15x8 rim..thanks

Rim size definitatly affects the amount of tread that contacts the surface. If you have a rim that is to narrow or to wide for a tire, the tire will wear immaturly and improperly. 33x10.5 need to e on a 8 inch wheel and the 33x12.5 need to be on a 10 inch wheel. I would definatly suggest to get the proper rim swize when you get the new tires.

I have to run a lower air pressure but other than that I have no problems with my 33x12.5's on 8's for my taco
my '85 has 10's on the rear for my 38x16.5r15 (rear) & 8's on the front 38x12.5r15(front)
this rig was bought with this set up it used to be a mud racer soon to be re-built as a rock crawler

Are you planning on running 9.5, 10.5 or 12.5 width? You can get all three!!! Stew

If I understand you, you have 31-11.50 tires on 10" wide rims and you want to go to 33-15.50s on 10" rims.
I seriously suggest you rethink that. That's waaay to much tire.
And yes, you'll need spacers and rims with a small backspacing (and they still may rub the frame).

Yes you can run a 12.50 on an 8 inch wheel. I know ppl who do it all the time..Personally im runnin a 10 inch wheel with 12.50's cause i planned on a 14.50 in the future and didnt want to buy new wheels. But to answer your question Nothingface you can do that!
