Well it would help if we had any idea as to what kind of tires you're looking for. Are you looking for a mud terrain, all terrain, super swamper, ltb. It's hard to tell you where to look for deals when we got no info. I wouldn't expect to find any real good deals. You're gunna end up paying a good chunk of cash for some good tires especially when going with a bigger size such as 33's. start saving

go to walmart.com and look into their tire section. A great AT is the liberator all-terrain. There has been previous discussion on this tire in past threads. I dont think that they sell a 33 in the stores but you can have them shipped to the store of your choice and they are a great price! They also have a MT as well that is very inexpensive. I have ran these tires in the past on my other trucks and my sister runs the at's as well on her ranger. For the money...you cant go wrong with them

Yea Drew you gotta point. Expect 500 at minimum no matter where you go unless you find something used for a hell of a deal.

Sounds like you got a steal! If you look around you can find them all over. You just gotta look. Most of the time, super deals generally come around when you dont need it or least expect it. So just keep your eyes open and check the classifieds. Here in Va we have whats called the Valley Trader and there are deals in there all the time. They sell everyhting from Rake handles to trucks.
But like said before, you are gonna have a hard time purchasing a new set of tires for under 500 bones.

Check out the Nitto Terragrappler. Most places around here in Charlotte are charging about $500 for a set. I tried the costco route like monstertoy6 suggested but they were $180 a tire for BFGs!!! Some have suggested Cooper Dominator ($500), Uniroyal Laredo ($520), and Dayton Timberline AT ($550). I think I have it narrowed down to BFG AT/KOs ($700), Destination AT ($600) or General Grabber AT2s ($500) and the shop is buying my old Dunlop AT20's (4 w/10k miles, 1 new) for $200. Lots out there, just depends on what you wanna do.....

Looking at the dates i know i am a little late. But i got a set of 35 chapperels for my chevy for 370 in the back of my truck. This man just sells tires and a few wheels. He does not mount balance or anything else. At a pawn shop around here I found some tires made by hankook. The 33x12.5 were 101 a piece "aurora mt" And the at's were around 90 a piece. Look at tire stores that are not big name brand places or i gues some that are and just ask about some that are name brand or shall i say not well known brands. Alot of the big tire companies sell off brands that are the same as thier big brand but cheaper with different writing on the side wall. I bet i could get a set of maxis buck shot mudders not incluing mount or balance out the door of one man heres shop for less than 325. If you were close to me i would give you a fw numbers of people to call.

Try www.high-tec-retreading.com. I know retreads are lame but I have had a few friends run these tires and the only complaint was road noise. They have 33's for 80 bucks and 35's for 95. cant do much better than that.

Have you tried youre local junkyard? I have picked up some pretty good deals there before. My last set was tsl radials with about 60% tread left for 100$ although they were only 31"s, worked great for my 81 toy!! Trav
