ok I bought some Yokohama Super Digger 33x12.5's. They are absolutely the worst tires I have ever owned. Not good for any terrain except completely dry surfaces.

that's too bad. not sure how much they cost and but if you want to try to salvage them you could try doing some siping or grooving or both. it would take a while but if they cost you much it might be worth it.

Is the problem with the tread design or the tire compound itself??? I know a few who run the brand on street driven SUV's, they(the tires) actually handle really well on the road..... Probably due to a very stiff sidewall.

whats bad about them? tire wear, bad ride, no offroad traction, bad wet stopping manners, noisy, track on the highway or what? what makes it a bad tire?

I have no problems with them on the street. Once I go offroad they get horrible traction. They don't self-clean well at all or hook up except on dry, solid surfaces. They're great to hold me over this summer, after that I'm going with either the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders or Swamper LTB's. I was pretty frustrated the day I made the first post...after being stuck down a snowy hill for 5 hours, one that I know I would have walked right up with my BFG mudders. Just a tire I'm dissapointed in....

absolutely. i've got the 31x11.5x15's on my truck with 10" wide wheels, and they're amazing! the only thing i wouldn't recommend them for, tho, is lots of street driving. my truck is my daily driver (or, it will be again once i get the engine back in), but most all of my driving is short distance around-town stuff. so they wear pretty quick on the road, get flat spots when parked for a while being that they're bias ply (they round out pretty fast tho, once you start driving), they don't balance out as good as a radial tire, and make lots of noise (which i fell in love with), but for the price and performance, they're incredible. and the awesome looks get thrown in for free ;D . when i bought them, i got em cause they were cheap and would last me over till i saved enough to lift and go to 35's. now i'm thinkin i might have to get a set of 35" swampers, instead of bfg muds like i was planning!

Every tire that Interco (swamper) has ever made is like a gift sent from heaven. They out perform every other tire when off the pavement. I have wheeled everything but the Thornbirds and I have nothing but good things to say about them.

The last tires I had (33x12.5 BFG muds), howled so much when driving around town. I love that sound now......and I'm definitely going with LTB's for my next tires.
