i ran 33's for a long time with stock gears on my 84 truck with a 22R. the only thing is you will or might notice a little lose in power!! now that is if your stock gears are 4:10 and you have a 22R. years back i drove a freinds truck with 36's and 4:10 gears and 22R and it had all the power in the world even in 5th gear going up a hill it would still pick up speed with no problem. as for stock gears and 33's go for it!! in my book it's not worth changing gear ratio's for 33's unless your going to be doing alot more offroad driving that on road. just my $.02 it would be nice to know what size motor you have in you truck!!!

my buddy's been runnin 33's with stock 4.10's for about a year, no problems besides a slight loss of power off the line and up hills. also, we went wheelin usually about once a week, somtimes more, last summer and he had no problems on the trail, either.
