I just bought a 1994 Toyota Truck and it and it has little girl 225 series tires on stock 15 x 6 wheels The guy I bought it from says it has a "Stock joist lift"?? I never heard of that, but when you look in the rear wheel wells there is a gap at the bottom of the bed and there are sheet metal strips across there...is that what he's talking about? Anyway, I was wondering if I got bigger wheels...(Say 15x8) I could fit a 32 x 11.50 on it without rubbing? also I want to make sure I don't get harassed by the local cops for having tread stick out past the fenders (I don't want flares)....so what back spacing would you recommend for the wheels. Thanks! PS I don't want to lift the truck at all over stock height

I think you need a camera to post a pick. If you have a body lift of at least 2'', then 32x11.5's would fit with a little inner front fender seam bending.
Realistically, stick with 31x10.5's to keep it simple(and they will fit with the stock body(but may need the same seam bent over))

....there are long sheet metal strips shaped like a "U" separating the bed from the frame never seen this before on a truck but some of my friends say they have.... I don't know

32s will fit for a little while on the old body style trucks with no lift with 15x7s, and won't stick out past the fenders. but after you do some hard core bouncing around, and the suspension gets worn out, you will have to crank your torsion bars some

I was thinking of going to a 265/75 on a 16x8 inch wheel that has more backspacing than the 15x7 american racing wheel I was looking at...you think it will work without rubbing and not sticking out?...i know the 265 series are a bit taller and narrower than a 31x10.50

How come no one mentioned that a 33x10.50 will fit on the stock rims w/out sticking out past the fender and it's a great tire.
