Hello everyone I just found this site i got my truck a few months ago and i have been doing some research about some new tires. I dont do anything very intense but i take it to a few local trails and mud pits and im sick of my no tread laredo leavin me stranded. I have a black 88 v6 5spd that has American racing wheels with 31/10.50s on it now can i go bigger with stock ride hight? Also what are good tires for both street and mud i am on the highway alot for work some of my options have been baja claws, SSRs and TSLs but any help or more information would be apreciated also where i could get them that wouldnt be so hard on the wallet!!
Thanks, Jon

31's are probably the largest you can fit on a stock truck w/o lots of rubbing. BFG A/T's are a real good all around tire, SSR's are a lot more aggressive but still have decent street manners, TSL's are probably even more aggressive but will wear faster and are noiseier.

baja claws wear really fast on the street. I'd say 31/10.50 BFG muds

I am currently running a set of 32x11.50 BFG AT on 15x7 stock SR5 rims. I don't have rubbing issues running around town. I might have some on the lower valance or pinch weld, but those are easy fixes. You can actually run a 33x10.50 w/out any lift and fixing those minor rubbing spots.
