I'm thinking about getting some new rims but can't decide what to go with. I want a strong wheel that balances well. i don't want to spend much more then 250-300$ Is this unreasonable I need to get some better backspacing to run my bfg all terrains 285/75r16 on my 02 tacoma they rub. and also i might sell my stock rims their in pretty good shape is 600$ to much to ask? thnx

I doubt you can get $600 for the rims bro. I could be wrong, see how much they are going for on E-Bay for pricing purposes. I would say hold on to them in case you decide to sell the truck later or want to mount long trip tires on them. I bought steel rims from 4wheelparts.com for around $300 for my project truck, granted they are 15's and not 16's. My buddy ditched his 16's on his Taco for 15's so he could get better deals on tires and more rim clearance when offroading. Also consider spacers, small spacers could get the clearance you are looking for without remounting and rebalancing the tires and still allow your to stuff your tires.

Spacers are available thru Trail Gear, All Pro, Marlin and an horde of other places. Trail Gear for example sells them starting at $79 an axle.
