Hey guys. I found a really really good deal on some mickey thompson baja claws (33x12.5xR15) but I was wondering if i could mount a 12.5 wide tire on my stock 7 wheel. Also anybody ever see the baja claws in action?
...let me hear some input....

They will fit but they will wear very badly and quickly. The Rim is too narrow for street use. A 8" rim is the smallest rim that I would use for a 12.5 wide tire.

Ive run my 37x12.5 on stock rims for just shy of four years. Its not optimum but i havent run into any grief.

7" wheels are a litle narrow, but with proper air pressure they can be run with minimal/no side effects.
EDIT: How true the tire runs to the labeled size will also play a role. Actuall sizes very from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Well I just took a trip to houston to get the tires. Drove up there after work, stayed the night, picked up the tires in the moring, and drove back before work...gotta love still being young and dumb. I went ahead and got some new procomp alloy wheels, I decided for alloy just because of the added weight of steelies plus the added weight of the tires. They are 15x8, i get them in on wednesday. I will post pictures once I get everything mounted and ready to go...wish me luck
