I tried to search it, and found nothing, so don't shoot me if this is a really dumb question, which I am sure it is. How much of a difference is there between Aluminum and Steel rims. Pro's and Con's? I have aluminum, should I switch to steel?

Aluminum is lighter, and prettier, and can crack rather than just dent. Steel is cheaper, stronger, and minor rock damage can often be straightened out with a big hammer.
You want something for show or for go?
If you have alum, I wouldn't bother changing until there was a need or reason to.

because of the weight of steel, are we looking at bad gas mileage?
