I have a 90' with 31's. I want to crank the torision bars about an inch and a half and throw blocks on the back to clear plenty of room for some flex with 32's. Has anybody done similar, torision crank? Is it harder on your vehicle, drawbacks?

It's a pretty common thing to do on IFS trucks. One downside is that by forcing the suspension in one direction to get the height, you loose travel in the opposite direction.

If it was easy it wouldn't be fun.

It's fine if you have lockers, but on mine with open diff's, I'm frequently raising a front tire, rendering my truck as mobile offroad as a camry with slicks.

;D Cranking T-bars & flex don't go good together!!! You'd be much better off w/a small body lift & trimming. Add blocks or shackles in the rear to get what you want. I fit 33's w/a 1" B/L & shackles. My ride is acceptable & the flex is minimal. Later...

does that mean that if u crank the t-bars the opposite way, and get lift another way, that it would help flex?

;D Sounds good, but, no. The limiting factor on the IFS is the bumpstops/control arms. You can only go as far as the stops'll let you unless you move the stops. Sure, you can use low-profile Poly's but they'll only get you so much. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...aren't T-bars set up(builtin) w/a setting that you can't "go under?" Later...

How would You go about tiginting up the T-bars to ge the lift. As I've been thinking about doning it to as and extra inch of lift the mu truck to place 15 inch rims under it and get REAL truck tires not the passager tires that i'm forced to get right now. And with this done, what is the biggeste tire sixe that will be able to be used in the frount and not rub during sharp turns. And what would be the bigest that can be placed on the rear?

Dude, you have an 85, you don't have t-bars. T-bars are part of an independant front suspension (IFS), you have a solid axle suspension, which uses leaf springs.

Well that shows how much I know about the truck I have, I guess that is common for new toy truck owners. So how do I go about incressing lift in the frount?

.... So how do I go about incressing lift in the frount? How about reading the reply to the thread you started. How do you think I knew you had an 85 truck ?
