Im thinking about doning a SAS on my 88' 4Runner, i wanna run 39' boggers. The thing is cant put a body lift on my truck cause is not offered anywhere. So i need all the syspension i can get, If i add 12'' or 10'' chevy springs, would this be enough or perfect, and would the fit in the stock spring hangers? Any kind of suggestions are helpful.

Go read stuf on www.pirate4x4.com in the bulitin board, search for chevy spring swap. You will not be able to fit any bit of chevys in stock locations. I cut all the old stuf off. Chevy springs are 63" long and the front hanger is moved9-11" forward and the rear needs to be moved back about 4" and dropped somehow. People have done a double shackle to get the lift desired, but I did a 2" square tube welded to the frame with the spring hanger welded to that and an 8" shackle off it. This gave me about 4 1/2" of lift. Honestly you don't need 12" of lift, thats insane and you WILL roll. If you want to fit 39's do the chevy swap and sas with all pro 5 1/2" tires, then you need to trim the fenders a LOT and you will fit the tires.
