i checked out the other posts on this topic, but was wondering about a few other details. could someone recomend which type of suspension lift is better. 3" springs or 3" blocks? i want to keep the ride nice and smooth. i'm also wondering about what type of shocks would best compliment the smooth ride. thank's

I would definetly go with springs, stay away from blocks. Rancho is a good off and onroad shock for cheap, for twice the price Bilsteins are your best on-road/offroad bet, they ride nicer than the ranchos.

Blocks (in the rear only) will help keep a smoother ride, but can be more hazzardous off road. Just thought I'd throw in my two cent.

Springs instead of blocks whenever possible, and NEVER on the front.
Several manufacturers offer "soft ride" suspensions, but in my experience the leafs don't keep their arch too long.
The exception to this is the Cadallic of good ride suspensions: Old Man Emu. OME makes probably the best there is if you don't want/need anything greater than 2-3". OME shocks too.
