My friend has a '99 4Runner and he can't find a 6" lift for it. Does any company make a 6" lift for a '99 4Runner?

There are two companies that make a 6" lift for the front...Fabtech and Trail Master. The fabtech is new so I dont know much about it, but the trail master has been around for a while and I have seen some guys tharsh their tacos with is with out problem ( launching truck 5 feet in air at sand dunes). So that takes care of the front, now you have to deal with the coil spring rear. Simple...if you like to fabricate or want to pay to have it done. A rear leaf swap is the easiest and best choice. I had to do this on my 95 runner when I did a 4" front. Basically you cut out all of the coil spring bracketry, grind the frame and axle back smooth and start welding spring perches, spring and shackle hangers on the axle and frame. I would use 56" alcans, and then also go to an inverted V shock mounting sytem. I used factory spring and shackle hangers from a 95 pickup (new from toyota), I also used allpro shackles and spring perches, and a mini truck shock hoop for a 2nd gen pickup.
When I started I just craweled under the runner with a plasma torch and grinder....26 hours of work later I had a custom killer rear suspension.
If you search the net you can find several 2nd gen with this mod, but I have yet to see a 3rd gen... But my mom owns a 3rd gen and I looked at the rear suspenstion..would be as easy to do as a 2nd gen
GOOK LUCK
