I have a 85 longbed that NEEDS to be lifted. I plan to run 33's only ($). I have also been looking at the skyjacker 5" system by itself, or nwor 3.5 plus a 3" body lift. I kind of just want to just stick springs in there and not worry about the body. I know the tires will rub with the 5", but im not too worried. Any one been in this spot, what did you do? I plan on all doing all kinds of wheeling, so if one setup would be better than the other i would like to know. thanks

;D Why do you think this? 5" w/33's will give ample clearance. Most guys do a 3" susp. lift(if that) to do 33's. The 3.5" NWOR is plenty. Later...

Thats what i thought. I have been told by a few people that their 33s rubbed near full compressionn of the spring with the skyjacker kit. dont know if they were correct with their info. Any thoughts on nwor's stuff?

I just recently put the NWOR 3.5in kit with their 2in lift shackles and love it!! I believe they have pretty good flex and suit my needs (DD and some mudding, trails, and going up hills I really shouldnt) SO far I have had no problems with it, but only had it on for about a month(think a little less) I am running 31's atm and have WAY too much extra room. I am going to run 33's and they will probably work perfectly for my needs, would run 35's but they would rub in extreme flex cituation(I think....) which happens on those stupid hill climb attempts.

;D To clarify further, I'm not even saying you need 3.5" of lift! My '88 has a 1" B/L, minor trimming & fits 33's just fine. You'll hear many things, but, I've had good dealings w/NWOR(ask for Chet). Also w/Downey & Randy's R&P. I'd deal w/any of them again. Later...

Ok, what I think you need to ask yourself is, what do I need. Thats what I asked myself in my situation. I choose so much lift, when I could of done it with much less because I did not want to trim my fenders at all, or risk crunching them when flexing. So I think you just need to ask youselft...
1)What do I want out of my lift 2)What can I afford 3)What am I willing to do(fender trimming, ext)
At least that is what i did, *shrugs*, just my 2CP
