hey guys. ive been looking for suspension lifts and ive only found trailmaster, pro comp, and superlift. but i have a buddy that can get great deals on lifts, and he said the one he could get was a fab tech. but ive never heard of it. if it helps, it is for a 92 4runner. im just wondering if there is such a thing, becuse it is possible he was looking and 89-95 toyota trucks or he's just wrong . let me know if anyone has heard of just a thing. thanks

well, i'm not sure about fabtech, i know they make really nice taco lifts. i have the super lift its nice, i didn't get the pro comp becasue they didn't give you a whole new cross member, they just give you these little cross member extensions. On the other hand superlift give you a big thick cross member. i hope this helps you out when your selection a lift. i got mine from National Tire and Wheel

Ya Fabtech makes Taco lifts but not ones for older pickups, good company though, quality stuff.

I went with the procomp stage II because it came with compression struts and real bump stop extentions, integrated into the lower crossmember extenstion. I have seen bumpstop extensions bent from all of the other makes of lifts. While it doesnt have a 1 piece lower subframe it is very strong and I have had no problems with it.
The rear of a 2nd gen runner is different. I dont feel that there is a quality kit made. I have seen everything from broken axels to control arms from 4" coil lifts. For your money you are better to do a 56" leaf swap. This is a very easy swap and not only gives you a stronger suspension, but it travels more on the trail and is so stable on the fwy youll forget your runner is lifted, which isnt the case with a 4" coil lift..

from what ive read at prerunner.net fabtech is junk. the lifts break all the time on yoters.
although they are expensive i would recomend Downey's lift. thats what i had and i loved it. but you have to get the complete lift @$1800 apx. it provides tubeular upper control arms slipyoke cv shafts with spicer ujoints 26mm torsion bars bilstein shocks beefy draglink rear spring pack diffrent shock mounts front and rear rear doistch shocks and some other stuff i cant remember it is a sweet set up, but it will forever change your suspention as some of it must be welded. it provides about 12" of flex inthe front and about 16" in the rear.
also another great ifs company is total chaos. better that downey, but very expensive.
i know the downey kit can take abuse. ive crawled with it and jumped it many times, always with great results.
