First of all, 3'' won't be enough lift for 33's if you are trying to do any offroading (or turning), which works out well since nobody makes a 3'' lift for 2nd gen 4Runners. You could get 1-2'' max out of your torsion bars and some new coil springs, throw on a 2 inch body lift and be ok. Most of the IFS lifts out there are pretty similar, pro comp, fabtech, superlift, trailmaster, all usually priced about the same as well. I would personally go with the superlift, and you can find it on ebay for $900 including shipping. As far as installation, plan on having at least two days of down time unless you've got a full shop and 10 people workin.

thanx, so you're saying a 2" suspension and a 2" body? keep in mind this is also goiong to be my only vehicle, and dayly driver. so how bad is this going to affect the stability and handling on highways as well? I'm trying to find the best combination of off-road mods, and highway practicle vehicle. anyone with opinions of their mods would be killer! thanx Mock1

I have a 91 4runner with a V-6 and I travel 86 miles a day to work and I am getting a pro comp 4" lift to accomodate my 33's. The guys at the particular shop I am getting it done said they can get me 2" more on some custom fabrication that they are willing to do since mine is an automatic and body lifts are complicated without going to 4 crawler for the extra pieces. I've heard a bunch of people rave about the pro comp suspension lifts....on their stability and what not. The body lifts are good if you want to accomodate bigger tires but it messes with stability on daily driven vehicles in my exhausting research of lifts.
