I have a mildly stock 2WD 85 P/U, That I wish to lift the frount by 2", and lift 3" in the rear. should this be both frame and wheel. Or just one or the other. I wish to place the next size rim on both the frount and back and also have the truck slightly higher in the back. So when it is pulling a trailer of under load it will level out. I would like ti to have quite a bit of up and down travel as IT MIGHT be used as a light duty deasert running as there is a lot nearby. [ As I'm in westren Colorado. ] As with some good puddle hoping/ mudding. Any ideals of mods I'd like to know about as withthe rought time and cost to do the mods.

First off, what size tires do you have now, and what size do you want to move up to ?
You can add a 2" body lift (BL) to fit larger tires. I't quick, easy, inexpensive, and retains your current ride quality (be it good or bad).
Another option is some sort of suspension lift, and each has a down side to go with it.
1) Add-a-leafs (AALs) will give you 1-3" of lift, but typically give a harsher ride.
2) Blocks, used in the REAR ONLY, give 1-3" of lift without affecting ride quality, but the taller blocks can cause spring wrap.
3) Longer shackles can get you 1-3" of lift and won't affect ride quality, but the longer ones can give you some body sway/roll.
4) New spring packs, to completely replace the old ones. Best option, provide many more choices, may make ride quality better or worse depending on whose you purchase, can provide better or worse flex depending on whose you purchase, but is the most expensive option.
The biggest factor is what you want your final result to be. What you plan to use your truck for - rock crawling, mud, forest trails, is it a daily driver (DD) or trail-only rig, etc.

Dude, you have an 85, you don't have t-bars. T-bars are part of an independant front suspension (IFS), you have a solid axle suspension, which uses leaf springs. When I pulled out my starter I did not see a solid axle running between my wheels. And there are no springs holding it up. As it has both upper and lower control arms. The was not added my myself, If you can explane the types of syspensions for the 85 trucks that might help me. The tires are, P 195 /75 r14 and would like to get r15's under my frount and rear, as with incress the clarance under my truck by one or two inches overall and an extra inch on the backside. I'm mostly be useing it for DD as with some offroading and mudding.
