Well being thats it's a year 90 ... the max lift you can do , being that it's a IFS (independent Front suspension) , you can get a 4" suspension lift and a 3" body lift , unless you do a SAS ( solid axle swap, where the sky's the limit )....with that combo you can run 38's........but theirs alot to consider before you lift your truck ! first of all , what will you be using your 4runner 4 wheeling or show if it's show you can get by with a body lift only , although I hate body lifts, personally, and you'll be able to squeeze a 35 like a Procomp under there with a body lift....... Know that body lifts " hate to say" only lift the body, so your suspension is the same height as stock and you end up smashing your frame and especially front end parts through what ever your 4 wheeling through....., Plus you end up messing your truck up with only a body lift , using a combo suspension lift / Body lift it some better... Most people feel as I do and hate Body lifts as well....... most body lifts cost around $ 100 for parts. + labor if you need it... If your going to use it for actual 4 wheeling, then thats something different......one will it be a weekend warrior or two a full time Rock Crawler ? If your going to 4 wheel it semi seriously, you need a Suspension lift, which will lift your suspension 4", and on 4runners, you may want to add an addtional rear spring to each side to make it level ( as 4runners are notorious rear end saggers ),even with a new lift......suspension lifts are considerably more $500 - $800 - parts......+ labor if you need it If your going to use it to be a full time Rock crawler or Mud bogger..then thats something all together different, tube frame, SAS, V8, etc....... once you respond I can answer that way, in detail..........I suspect though that you will use it one of the two above ways..........anyway. all that info is good to know , but there is more... Because you want to put 35's on it .....which is great.....you'll need to think about regearing the truck. With a taller tire as your 35's ( well most 35's don't measure 35's except super swampers... most measure less than they say usuallly 33's to 34's ) you'll have to regear your truck ..or 4th and 5th gear , assuming it's a manual tranny ... will become useless.......the taller the tire, the taller your gearing becomes, making your tallest gears only good for flat sections of Highways, if you can even get up to the speed to use them.......anyway .........I'd regear to at least 4:88's or even better 5:29's ( Like I have on Mine ). front and back gears have to be the same, or you'll grenade your T-case........and since your there regearing your pumpkins........then you might as well install lockers as well ..........Ring and Pinions ( Gears ) are around the $ 150 - $ 200 range for each axle + labor + lockers run $100 - $ 800 depending on what kind you get + Labor... so all that info , you probably didn't want to read.....but they are the things you need to think about when your lifting your 4runner........theres more to it than just lifting your truck ! and the last I'll say ..... is the you get what you pay for !!! that should give you a clue about body lifts ! anyway ... good luck and I hope this post helps !!!
