I was wondering how many of u have tried the procomp 4 inch lift. I got a 94 ext. cab toy with 31" mickey t's baja claws. I dont have any problems with the truck but clearance issues since most trails are rutted out and stock toys just arnt made for rockcrawling.I have been looking around for lifts for about a year now and the Pro comp seems like the best buy without a SAS conversion. Someday i hope to swap to a front axle send my truck in to Clayton suspension and go coilover and show the jeeps whos king. Unitl i hit the lotto i will have to buy a bolt on lift.

Actually i have a lot of questions ;D I assume with 7" of lift you are running 35"s. How bad is the 35"s on the 22re? When i put 31" baja claws on my truck i could notice a slight decrease in power. Did u make any modifications to the engine to suffice for the bigger tires. I have been wheeling for a few years now so i understand that i would have to run 4:88 gears to get the wheels turnin!!! I ask this bc i am planning on installing a 4" pro comp lift with maybe 2-3" of body to clear 35". I seen plenty of toyota's with 4" lifts and they just arent big enough. I ve driven my freinds jeep with 35" baja claws and i gotta say it handles like complete shit on the road. Is it possible to run 35" less agressive tires like wrangler mtr and mantain some sort of control. Any info is helpful thanks

For the money, the best way to go is the 4" superlift and a 3" body. Right now, national tire and wheel (http://www.ntwonline.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=48&Product_ID=1467&CATID=26) is running a special on the superlift...something like $580 I think...well below what it normally costs. I know it shows a pic of Procomp but it is actually Superlift...I called to check on it. I've done this lift on numerous trucks with no regrets from customers. I've got this same setup on mine in fact. Rides really well compared to what's been done. As far as the 35's go on the 22re...it definitely depends on the tire....I would stay away from Super Swampers because they have the tendency to be alot heavier than most other tires. Trust me. I was running a 35" BFG KM and switched to a SS Thornbird and the difference was like day and night. Something like the Baja claw, x-terrain or any BFG or other M/T or A/T would probably be best for that setup and that motor.

Correct me if im wrong but that lift is for the front IFS system only. I was on the Superlift website and seen that they offer 4 different suspension packages for the 94 model.I am guessing that if i buy the package that includes the front IFS sysetm and the rear kit i will have to buy new rear leaf springs?

That kit comes with the front IFS kit and blocks for the back...if you want to go a different route than blocks then yeah you'll have to buy the leaf springs

About how many hours does that lift take. With general mechanical skills AT MOST. And does it come complete.

Yes, it comes complete with everything you need. Also very good/clear directions in case you may not understand. Makes it alot easier on the mechanically challenged. Pretty good pics and diagrams as well. I would say for you maybe 2 days at most. I usually can do one in say a day but I also have everything to make it easy...lifts, impact wrench, jacks....that makes a big difference...So depending on the equipment you have I'd go with 3 to be on the safe side. Good luck with it.

hey i'm intrested in the superlift for my 94 singlecab does the kit require any welding or cutting? If so what? I am running 33's with a 3" bodylift and 4.88 in both axels. will the 4.88's handle 35's or should I go with a 34".

No welding or cutting at all...everything is bolt on an fairly easy to do. As far as the 4.88s, depending on what you want to do, they should be fine. I ran stock gears in mine for a while and they actually didn't do bad so those should definitely work well as far as mud and road goes. If you're gonna crawl it might be a good idea to make a change but overall you should be ok with what you have.

I have a 4" Pro comp lift, as well as a 2" body. I just had my Procomp installed 2 yrs ago as of this month. I have 33" BFG A/T's. I noticed a big speed decrease, I did the cheapest thing I could and just bought an aftermarket air filter, that made a pretty big differe, but still didn't recover from all the speed decrease, but well over enough. Its a v6 3.0L. I can still do 90 on the freeway. Never tried to go faster than that.
The procomp is stiff, I do get a lot of rough road bounce, can't have hot coffee in the cup holder, haha. But I love it, the toy offroads like no other, I run it hard through ruts and jumps, and this thing just rocks! Pro-comp is the way to go.

Pro Comp makes a good lift but I promise you that it isn't worth the money difference. Like I said, I've ridden in trucks with both and Superlift rides so much better on the road while doing well offroad as well. Offroad it's stiff enough to handle the terrain yet soft enough to keep from jarring you when you hit a rut....It's your money but I'd go with Superlift
