I have a 90 Pickup 4WD STD Cab. If I do the torsion adjust I heard that in the long run there could be problems associated with certain parts of the suspension that could become weak and eventually break. Is this correct??? I heard that from a local "expert". You know one of those guys that have an unlimited amount of money to do stuff with and can judge everyone else's truck!! Thanks if anyone can help. I know where I can find shackles.

As long as you don't over do it ( more than 2") then it won't hurt too much. it will cause more wear on the parts and give u a stiffer ride but you should be alright with that for a long time. On the other hand Upgrading to sway away t-bars is easy and only cost 100 bills.

For $112 shipped, Roger brown can make you some ball joint spacers for the front. Suppose to get about 1.5" of lift. Not as quick or easy of a mod, but from all I've read and heard, most beneficial. You don't have to crank your T-bars and are able to maintain factory ride. I'm looking at doing this myself sometime later in the summer or early fall. www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/BallJointSpacer.shtml

I'm very close to ordering them myself, just unsure of the existing t-bar lift I'm running now. I've heard you can align ok w/the spacers, just don't know about the spacers plus additonal t-bar lift. 3'' total lift would be beautiful.

Something you have to remember about t-bar tweaking is that what you gain as lift in one direction is lost as travel in the other direction.

i was very cautious about doing a body lift and was thinking of doing the torsion bar lift... i decided to go with the 2" body lift ($86.00)... in less than 4 hrs i was done and am very pleased with the results... i have 33x12.5x15 tires on a 15x12 wheel and it looks great...

If someone has installed the 1.5 ball joint spacer lift let me know how dificult it was and whether or not you are happy with it. I liked what 94cnytoy said 3 inches lift with the ball joint spacer and tht-bar even 2 or 2.5 inches. Also wich company is best to get 2" lift coil springs to be compatable with the front? Should I go with a med or stiff coil?
