4hrs into a 2'' PA body lift install..... 94 PU std cab 4cyl. torrential rain today and the next. truck half in/out of garage w/tarp over back. 2.5'' of rain so far today!!! changing to wet snow..... anyway.... so far cab is lifted, but not bolted down(lock-tighted) kit instructions are ok. not great.not bad. rear cab bolts are 1/2'' too long.... (will be buying new ones) prob won't need the "ground" extentions provided. brake lines and clutch lines are aok. Strongly suggest pulling the whole front seat out. they don't mention it. real easy. need the room. I'd have taken some pictures but its dark and wet here. not worth damaging the camera. ***also do not care for the size/thickness/grade of the bolts provided. you'll know once you see the factory Toyota bolts you remove.*** upon general disasembly.... Toyota quality is fantastic! 11yr old truck int the rust belt and everything is spotless. I PB'd the body bolts once last week and they all came off beatifully. I'll update after Sunday am's episode. 2'' PA body lift in installed and done....for the moment. the "dilly" is this... bed is a bitch. little on no access for nuts on top end(into frame rails) no "ground" extentions required. close fit. brakes and clutch just need breathing room gas tank filler tube and vent ok. front bumper bracket works perfect. none provided for rear bumper...none needed. the shifters...... loose the metal frame..... may need to trim rubber seals.... will not hold 2nd/4th/rev with clutch out. (I will be adjusting and commenting this week)
I'm very thorough.... 8hr job.
3'' body lift would be strongly not recommended...... any more than 2'' and all hell would be let loose. 1-2'' max!!!! very, very happy w/2'' clearance. Stew

actually "drove" the truck today. no tire rub what-so-ever anymore. will now have to wait till next weekend to recover from working in the cold rain..... the radiator is now slightly exposed.... may come up with and expanded steel guard for it. 33's now look "right" on the truck. my son(9yrs old) didn't think it looked bigger until he went to get in and couldn't reach the pillar grab bar. amazing what 2'' does when your only 4'-7''..... The shifters will need work. the provided 2'' "lugs" weld in, are just stupid. the clearance issue has nothing to do with height. maybe if you cut your trans and transfer shifters at 10* and rotated them then rewelded.... YEAH RIGHT!!! tues and weds here is supposed to be real nice. gonna visit the local u-pick yard. lookin for 80's chrys minivans w/stds. big, tall shift boots. I think they are all gray or black too. will keep ya'll posted here now here..... Stew
