solid front axle lift

Ok i will probably be getting a 86 or 87 4runner in the next few weeks for pretty cheap. It has a the solid front axle with a 22re, thats pretty much all i know about it. I would like to give it just a small boost. my plans are to use it to trailer my sailboat and to do the weekend wheeling everynow and then. I would like to just put 31s on it and not go any higher. I would like to get maybe a 1-2" lift if it would rub with 31s. if it wont rub then I probably wont bother with it right away.

Jon, if it is a 86 or 87 runner it should have ifs in the front unless the previous owner swapped it for a solid axel. Either way 31's should fit without much problems.

See I thought the same but I was told by the guy that has it that it is solid not ifs. but thats good to know that 31s will fit fine thanks
