i was wondering if a 9 inche lift on a 95 4runner would be reasonable. i am goin to use it mainly as a weekend warrior, but i dont wanna take my chances wiht anything smaller. basically the lift is an all custom 6 inch leaf, shackles, and then a 3 inch body lift. what are sum downsides to using a body lift also?

im gonna run 37's. how are u fittin 40's with 5 inches of lift. do you have any travel at all, or flex. with a 4 inch lift the max is 33-35s depending on fender trimming.

i limited my up travel. I also moved my front axle froward. i can get o a 44in TSL no problems. as far as the flex in the front it is prolly near the 25-30 inch range and the rear is a bit more. The biggest thing when fitting big tires is moving the axle forward. My axle in the front was moved about 4 inches forward.

did you do all that yourself, or did sumone do it for you? and how much would it cost?i want myne high, but with alot of flex. i know my trop end is gonna be about 60 mph but, and im not worried about my cog that much. keepin it slow will keep me safe

worry abot the COG in the rocks and anyting off camber. I did all the work myself. what axle are you goin to use in the front if its a toyota axle 9 inches of lift is way too much esp with a top heavy 4 runner. u want flex and a lot of lift? thats not goin to happen with a big lift leaf spring.

well the lift will be more around 7 1/2 because im not gonna use a body lift. will a stock yota axle hold that up? my freind has a tacoma with a weird front end. it has like ball socket pivots at the end. i dunno if your familiar with land rovers, but thats what they have. im pretty sure its a yota front end off of and earlier truck. but hes got abou 10 inches or more wiht just leafs/shackles...

yeah i think its too tall for that width axle personally. i have a slightly cut down fullsize axle and i wish it was wider. a lot of people i know wish they had a wider front end.

one my my freinds mentioned a dana 60. would that hold up for a 7 1/2'' lift, and 37'' tires? i know the stock rear cant support anything over 35's...so ive heard that is

its not the axle cant handle it. i feel a toyota axle isnt wide enough just personal preference. a full width 60 with 37s would look funny cuz teh tires are that big

well ive heard that the stock axles cant old up to the wieght of bigger tires.correct me if im wong tho.but my freind has a tacoma and he stressin his knuckles bc the tires are so heavy. what axle would you use if not the stock unit?basically right now, im tyrin to just figure out what all i need, and how to put it all to work

no man i am from the west coast. I dont know with the price to make a toyota axle as strong as a 60 you could have had a 60. just narrow like i think it is 3 inches off the pass side and then u can use a marlin kit and u can get stock shafts to work from another 60. as far as the rear axle gte a 60 and rock it. i run a toyota in the rear but i have broken it

why do you want so much lift? keeping components closer will make things soooo much easier in the long run, 9 inches isnt cheap, my buddy did 9 inches.... its not cheap... run the biggest tires you can with as little lift as possible. thats my .02

im wantin to run 37 inch tires, and also have quite a bit of flex as well. im still undecided about the 9 inches, but that was my 1st choice.

9in. of lift is jsut rediculous unless it's jsut a show truck. your center of gravity is gunna be way way high to be doing ne rockcrawling or off-camber stuff. toyota's already have a high cog. put on a 5in. suspension lift, fender trim as needed, you're gunna want to also get soem upgraded birfields from longfield and regear to 5.29 or 5.71 search around there is tons of info on this kind of stuff. this is a good site but if you can't find it on here b4 you ask try searching on some other sites to like 4x4wire and pirate4x4.

They'll laugh at you at windrock with a truck built that poserish These guys are trying to steer you right. Why did the '80's have to come back. I lived through this once. Next thing, triple chrome show bars....
