wheele spacers arent goin to make the tires any wider, they will make the tires stick out more then they do now. they will increase wear on the bearings and ball joints and make sure u keep them tight. it would prolly be cheaper to get some 2.5 inch BS wheels and safer. also when u get tires next time get something thats wider then 12.5 inches

don't use them there not the best thing to use goto your local tire and wheel place and buy a different rim with a different offset that should give the look you want the people at the tire shop should be able to help let them know what you want i recomend les schwab they do pretty good by me you won't have the ware and tare on your truck this way plus its a hole lot safer

why do they give you wheel spacers when you buy a sas kit?

Wheel spacers are included with SAS kits cuz the rear axle on an 86 and later is 3" longer then the front 85 and earlier axle. Wheel spacers are intended for off road use only, although some people do use them on their DD.

I DD my truck, granted not very many miles. but it's my dd I have them on the front of my truck and I just re-torqued them the other day using loctite(rockcrawlintoy had suggested in an earlier post). They weren't loose or anything. As for the longtime wear and tear, I only have 500 miles on my truck since the SAS was done. I have an extra set that have never been used that I would sell you for cheap, if your interested. rich

forgive me if i'm wrong here...and i may be, but an offset wheel with the same offset as the spacers have is going to put the equal amount of wear on the wheel bearings, etc. Yes the wheel bolts on closer to the hub, however the force being applied to the bearings is still going to be more than stock.same as with spacers.
